Diving
in Full-boat Charters
to the Andaman Islands
South East Asia Liveaboards (SEAL) are the
pioneers of surfing in the remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the Bay
of Bengal, . Our unique liveaboard sailing cruises are for
big wave surfing around these tropical islands. Bring your surf
board and join our sailing yachts Crescent and Wanderlust in Port Blair,
capital of the Andaman islands, for an unforgettable experience of
world-class surf.
To the west lay the Maldives, to the east, Burma and Thailand.
Centered in the Bay of Bengal are the mysterious Andaman Islands. A chain of one hundred
and fifty lush tropical islands, forgotten by the modern world. So little explored and
undeveloped, that cannibals and stone-age pigmy Negrito tribes still exist in their
impenetrable interiors. These reclusive tribes hunt wild boar and deer as their main
source of food.
To capture the true spirit of the Andamans and to enjoy their rustic
charm is only possible by spending a day or so exploring Port Blair, the islands
capital port. A visit to the cellular jail or nearby Ross Island will give a lasting
impression or British Imperial rule in bygone days. Port Blair has been in a reclusive
state of decline since the British departed. It is now a colourful n backwater, ideal
for exploring. The outer islands of the Andaman Archipelago, are the real gem for true
adventurers, holding hidden treasures for diving enthusiasts.
The Andaman Island archipelago, is engulfed by the crystal clear waters of the
n Ocean. The subterranean mountain range that forms this exotic destination, drops
away steeply, to depths of over three thousand meters, within just a short distance of the
coast. The islands are swept by oceanic currents, bringing up rich nutrients from the
depths. This provides abundant food sources to resulting in incredible amounts of fish
life. All these factors combined, make the Andaman Islands a divers dream!
SEAL now offers you the opportunity to dive and explore their hidden depths. Join us on
our annual live-aboard trip to this divers Mecca.
